We are delighted to share some exciting news with you! The Glenlyon Tweed Mill in Aberfeldy, a cherished weaving mill established in 1850 by the Haggarts family, has been lovingly taken over by the five partners at Stewart Christie & Co.
As we embark on this new chapter, our vision is to breathe fresh life and energy into this remarkable building. We are committed to honouring its rich heritage while focusing on innovative tweed designs, custom creations for our clients, and inviting visitors to experience the beauty of craftsmanship firsthand. Currently, the mill continues to operate, offering a beautiful range of fabrics available online by the metre, along with an extraordinary archive of patterns that tell the story of our weaving legacy.
Like any esteemed establishment, the mill has reached a point where it seeks renewed inspiration. After a series of thoughtful renovations and upgrades, we are excited to announce that we will re-open our doors to the public this spring. We will offer guided tours and opportunities for future weaving apprenticeships, nurturing the next generation of artisans.
